Lifetime Retirement Income Payment Solutions

If you're unsure about your retirement income choices and would like to discuss your options, you can select to skip and a member of our team will contact you to help.

Must be aged 65 or older.
Your Retirement Income is calculated on the age of the youngest partner.

To calculate your retirement income we need to estimate your life expectancy. We have set out three options to allow you to choose the estimate that best suits you, and what you know about your family history.

Shorter Life Expectancy – Higher income, designed for those who aren’t expecting to live into their 90s
Average Life Expectancy – Moderate income, designed for those who expect to live part way through their 90s.
Longer Life Expectancy – Lower income, designed for those who are expecting to live into their late 90s.

If none of these options work for you, please email retire@lifetimeincome.co.nz for an income solution tailored to meet your specific requirements.

As you move through retirement there is a risk that your money becomes less valuable because of inflation. We can offer you the option to increase your income level each year, currently we are applying an annual increase of 2% each year. Note it is not a CPI aligned adjustment - it is 2% annually.

Approximately only 40% of people aged in their 60’s and 70’s will live into their mid-8O's. For this reason we give you the option to maximise your spending earlier in retirement. This means giving you more to spend earlier in retirement, then resetting your income at aged 85 out to your selected life expectancy.

A Lifetime staff member will be in touch to confirm your regular income.

Income payments are made on the same weeks as the government paid NZ superannuation.
